Fun stuff for Oakleigh

So Daniel and I went and bought some fun stuff for Oakleigh this weekend. This little girl is spoiled! But we are too excited for her arrival so it was so much fun.



We got this cute carseat cover!



And we finally ordered her bedding!! You can't have a crib without it!!




And finally we bought her crib! We were going to wait until Christmas, but we ended up with enough gift cards that we just decided we might as well get it now. We did buy her more but that was a few of the big things we still needed. I can't believe she will be here any day now.

Another Baby Update

I had my appointment today, I am 38 weeks already! Everything is looking good, I am dilated to a 2 1/2 and 80% effaced. I also was told I need to stop working, so as of Oct. 1st I have to start my maternity leave. It will be nice to have a break before she is due. My doctors nurse said women that take a week off before delievery usually have a better delivery. I also found out that my doctor is going on a cruise and will be gone until the 3rd!! So if I go before I will be sad if it is another doctor to deliver. Baby is doing good, I did have an ultrasound earlier this week because they were worried about my fluid (which is fine now) and we were able to get an estimate weight of 6 lbs 6oz. So hopefully she won't get too much bigger! :) Anyway, I guess its just a waiting game now to see when she wants to come!

Baby update

I had my check up yesterday and everything was pretty normal except when he asked if anything had really changed. I had been noticing for the last few days that Oakleigh wasn't as active as she usually is. So my doctor immediately called the hospital for me to come get a stress test just to double check everything was okay. I was kind of freaked out because he said if the test didn't come back normal he would deliever her that day! ahhh... I was a little nervous. Luckily my mom was with me since Daniel was in Idaho for work. We came up for the test and they measured my amniotic fluid on an ultrasound and then took me in to check her heartrate for 20 minutes. And sure enough as soon as they hook the machine on my stomach she moved around like crazy! She is a silly little girl! But they did notice that I have double the amount of amniotic fluid so just to be safe I have to go back in twice next week for another stress test. Man it was kind of scary thinking she could have come yesterday, but it would have been nice to meet her! But I guess we just have to be patient a little longer. I am still dilating which is good so lets just hope she comes on her own before her due date I am ready for her!!

My first baby shower!

On Saturday, one of my best friends Allison threw me a friend baby shower. It was so much fun and I really appreciate all of my friends for coming!! I love getting things for Oakleigh, it makes it more real! I had fun seeing everyone and getting to visit! Thanks everyone for the gifts and for coming! I really do have the greatest girlfriends!!

Keith Urban!!

On Wednesday, we went to our first Keith Urban concert and it was awesome!! Daniel surprised me with these tickets like 7 months ago, he is the best husband! We had a lot of fun, it was our last big date before Oakleigh makes her appearance. But I don't really suggest going to a concert 9 months pregnant, it's super hot and you have to sit most of the time. But other than that it was perfect!! Keith is awesome live!!

36 Weeks!!

Wow! I can't believe that I am already 36 weeks! I went to the doctor yesterday and he checked my cervix and I am less than a one dilated! Yay! I was so excited that my body was actually doing something! I was also excited because my belly is measuring a week ahead at 37 weeks. So hopefully baby will come a week early! I'll keep my fingers crossed! But everything else is looking great, her hearbeat sounded great! I go every week now to see the doctor so hopefully next week is even better news!

RIP Trace

This is a dear friend of mine that passed away last week. I worked with her for a couple years and I will miss her very much. She was such a sweet person inside and out. I will miss how positive and how much fun she was to work with. I love you Trace and can't wait to see you again one day.



Tracie Gilbert
NORTH OGDEN – Tracie Gilbert, 35, our dear daughter, sister, aunt, and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 2, 2009.

Tracie was born March 5, 1974 to Carl L. and Diane Garner Gilbert. Tracie had such a sweet spirit, and was full of life. She enjoyed camping, hunting, cross-stitching and scrapbooking. She was a graduate from Weber High School and from the Ogden-Weber ATC with a cosmetology license. She received her CNA license from Weber State University. She worked at McKay-Dee Hospital for 15 years.

Tracie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She will be missed by many and was loved by all who knew her.

Tracie is survived by her parents, her sisters, Julie (Shawn) Heiner, North Ogden; Mindi (Brian) Burton, Murray; Lisa Gilbert, North Ogden; and one brother, Jason (Danette) Gilbert, Knoxville, TN.

She is also survived by her grandparents, Walt and Shirley Garner, niece and nephews, Emma, Chris, Cody and Skylar, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Tracie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank R. and Lois Gilbert.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond 1st Ward Chapel, 3100 North 575 East, North Ogden.

Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.

Birthday Shoutout

I can't believe how big my newphews are getting!!


Brendan turned 6 on Sept 4th!! He is already in 1st Grade! Wow! I miss my little B and can't wait to see him in October! Happy Birthday Brendan!!




Today is Jaxon's birthday, he is turning 4! He is such a fun boy and I love hearing Jaxonism's from Jamie. He is a clone of my brother!! Happy Birthday Jax!!

I am so done!!!

Okay so this last month of pregnany sucks! I hurt all the dang time, I can't bend over to pick things up anymore and shoot going up the stairs is a workout!! I really hope this child comes at least a couple weeks early, I don't know if I can stand being pregnant anymore. But I guess its worth it in the end!

I just watched this video and I never want to text and drive again!! Everyone should watch this.
